di-PEND
Definition
To need someone or something for support, help, or what you need. It also means that a result or situation is decided by a particular thing or condition.
Usage & Nuances
Very common patterns are 'depend on' and less commonly 'depend upon'. Use it for both people/things you rely on ('depend on my parents') and situations that are conditional ('It depends on the weather'). 'Depend of' is incorrect in standard English.
