A roster is a list of people's names, usually showing who is part of a team, group, or organization, or who has certain duties at particular times.

Usage & Nuances

'Roster' is common in business, sports, schools, and scheduling work shifts. Usually a noun. In American English, 'roster' is more common; British English may use 'list' or 'register' instead. 'Roster' can refer to members (team roster) or scheduled duties (work roster/shift roster). Not used for lists of things, only people.
