危険や問題が起こる前に、それを誰かに伝えて注意を促すこと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「warn someone about something」や「warn someone not to do something」の形で使う。単なる「伝える」よりも危機感や重要性が強い表現。「危険」「結果」「公式な注意」によく使われる。
