物事が進んでいく一般的な方向性や流れ。特にSNSなどで人気がある話題やスタイルのことも指す。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「trend setter」「trending topic」「upward/downward trend」「fashion trend」「trendを追う」などの表現が多い。動詞で「今トレンドになっている（流行っている）」とも使う。「trendy」は「流行の」だが、やや否定的な意味でも使われることがある。「trend」と「tendency」を混同しないこと。
