誰かや何かを長い間じっと見つめること。強い関心や驚き、無礼を感じさせる場合が多いです。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「じっと見る」は「見る」よりも強い印象があり、短時間ではなく長く見続けることを指します。「人をじっと見ないで」のように、失礼に感じられやすい場面も多いです。
