추측은 모든 사실을 알지 못한 채 어떤 것에 대해 생각하거나 추정하는 것입니다. 주식이나 부동산과 같이 이익을 위해 돈을 투자하는 것을 뜻하기도 합니다.

'Speculation'은 형식적이고 뉴스, 금융, 학술 용어로 자주 사용됩니다. 'wild speculation', 'financial speculation', 'pure speculation' 등과 함께 쓰입니다. 'rumor'(소문)와 혼동하지 마세요. 소문은 확인되지 않은 정보일 때 씁니다.
