ऊँचे, संकरे धार या किनारे जो एक लंबी, ऊँची पट्टी बनाते हैं, अक्सर पहाड़ियों, पहाड़ों या सतहों पर पाए जाते हैं।

'Ridges' मुख्य रूप से भूगोल (पहाड़ी/पहाड़ की धार) में इस्तेमाल होता है, लेकिन किसी भी सतह या त्वचा पर उभरी हुई लंबी लाइन के लिए भी। आम तौर पर 'mountain ridges', 'ridges on a leaf', 'the ridges of your fingerprints' में आता है। 'Peaks' (चोटी) से न confund करें; ridges लंबी पट्टियाँ होती हैं।
