Definition
Líneas o bordes elevados y estrechos que forman una franja larga y alta, comúnmente en la parte superior de colinas, montañas o incluso en objetos o en la piel.

'Ridges' se usa sobre todo en geografía para montañas, pero también describe líneas elevadas en objetos, superficies e incluso la piel. Combinaciones frecuentes: 'mountain ridges', 'ridges on a leaf', 'the ridges of your fingerprints'. No confundir con 'peaks', que son puntos altos; 'ridges' son tiras largas y estrechas.
