何かをする能力や、人や出来事をコントロールする力。機械や照明に使う電気エネルギーも指すことがある。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「パワー」は体力、影響力（「政治的な力」など）、電気（「停電」＝電気が止まる）を指します。「力を持つ」「権力を得る」「ソーラーパワー」などで使います。「strength」（体力のみ）や「energy」（必ずしも支配を意味しない）とは区別しましょう。
