Definition

「picket」は、職場などの前で抗議したり他人の立ち入りを止めようとする人やグループ（ストライキ時によく見られる）を指します。また、フェンスに使う尖った木や金属の杭も意味します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

労働争議の文脈でよく使う：'picket line'（ピケライン）、'cross the picket line'（ピケラインを越える）など。名詞なら柵の杭でも使うが、動詞ではあまり使われない。
