운동하거나 더워서 또는 흥분해서 숨을 빠르고 무겁게 쉬다. 사람이나 동물이 주로 이런 상황에서 사용됨.

주로 운동 후나 더울 때, 신경 쓸 때 사람이나 동물에게 사용함. 'pant'가 바지(영국식)와 혼동되지 않음에 주의.
