不安や待っているときなどに、同じ場所を行ったり来たりして歩くこと。物語や映画の進む速さやリズムも指します。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
「nervous pacing」は不安で歩き回ること。物語や映画の「the pacing」は進行するスピードやリズム。'pace'（歩幅・速度）とは使い方が違うので注意。
