To look like or be similar to someone or something else, usually in appearance or character.
Usage & Nuances
'Resemble' is more formal than 'look like.' It does not take 'as' or 'like' after it: say 'resemble her mother,' not 'resemble like her mother.' Used for both physical appearance and character.
