Usage & Nuances

For clothes, common verbs are 'do up', 'undo', 'button', and 'unbutton'. For machines and screens, we usually say 'press', 'click', or 'tap a button'. On phones/apps, 'button' can also mean an on-screen control, not only a physical one.
