水や泥など歩きにくいものの中を歩くこと。比喩的には、大量の作業などを苦労して進める時にも使う。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

『〜の中をwadeする』のように 'through water' や 'through paperwork' などとセットで使われることが多い。普通の歩く（walk）や泳ぐ（swim）とは異なり、ゆっくりで大変な動きを表す。
