누군가 사용할 수 있도록 자리를 비우거나 떠나는 것. 주로 방, 좌석, 건물, 임대 부동산 등에 사용됨.

법적이거나 공식적인 상황에서 자주 사용됨. ‘방을 비우다’, ‘좌석을 비우다’와 같이 쓰이고, 일상적으로 단순히 ‘나가다’에는 사용하지 않음.
