周囲のことに十分気づいていない精神状態のこと。自然に起こることもあれば、催眠や瞑想、強い集中状態でなることもある。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

催眠や瞑想、儀式、音楽の文脈で使われます。'coma'（昏睡状態）や'ecstasy'（恍惚感）とは異なります。「トランス状態に入る」「トランスから覚める」などの表現で用いられることが多いです。
