Definition

কিছু শক্তভাবে পা দিয়ে চেপে নষ্ট বা ধ্বংস করা। কখনও কাউকে বা কাউকে অবজ্ঞাসূচকভাবে অপমান করতেও ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'trample' সাধারণত নেতিবাচক অর্থে ও অসতর্ক বা অবহেলায় ব্যবহৃত হয় (যেমন: ভিড়ে ফুল 'trample' হয়)। 'trample on/over someone's rights' বলতে কারো অধিকারকে অবজ্ঞা করা বোঝায়। সাধারণ হাঁটার জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয় না।

দয়া করে বাগানের ফুলগুলো **পিষে ফেলো না**।

The cows trampled the grass in the field.
