何かを急に強く前へ押す、または突くこと。名詞としては大きな推進力や強い押しのことも指します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

やや形式的で、物理学やエンジニアリング、また戦いや動きの場面で使われることが多い言葉。日常会話ではあまり使われません。「thrust into」「thrust forward」などの表現と共に見られます。名詞では「the main thrust（主旨）」のようにも使います。
