무언가를 손이나 팔로 공중에 날리는 것. 또는 갑자기 어떤 일을 일으키는 의미도 있다(예: 파티를 열다).

Usage Notes (Korean)

'throw a ball', 'throw it away' 할 때처럼 주로 던지는 동작을 의미. 'throw a party', 'throw up', 'throw someone off' 등 다양한 관용 표현에 자주 쓰임. 'throw'는 'drop'(떨어뜨리다), 'push'(밀다)와 혼동하지 않기.
