만약혹시

Definition

가상의 상황이나 질문을 시작할 때 '만약'이나 '상상해보라'는 의미로 사용된다.

주로 비공식적이거나 대화체에서 많이 쓰이며 명령문이나 조건문 시작에 자주 사용된다 ('만약 너가 복권에 당첨된다면...').

Supposing you had one wish, what would you choose?

**만약** 소원이 하나 있다면, 뭘 고르겠어?

Supposing it rains tomorrow, what will we do?

**만약** 내일 비가 오면, 우리는 어떻게 할까?

Supposing you see him, tell him to call me.

**만약** 그를 보게 되면, 나에게 전화하라고 해줘.

Supposing we don't find the book, do we buy another?

**만약** 우리가 그 책을 못 찾으면, 새로 살까?

I know it sounds crazy, but just supposing this plan actually works?

이상하게 들리겠지만, 그냥 **혹시** 이 계획이 정말 성공하면 어떨까?
