Definition
‘Strain’-এর বহুবচন; গাছ, প্রাণী বা জীবাণুর ভিন্ন ভিন্ন ধরন বোঝাতে এবং শারীরিক বা মানসিক চাপ বা অতিরিক্ত ব্যবহারে পেশির আঘাত বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
Usage Notes (Bengali)
বিজ্ঞান ও চিকিৎসাবিজ্ঞানে 'বিভিন্ন strains of virus' বা 'muscle strains' খুব প্রচলিত। 'স্ট্রিং' (ডোর) ও 'স্টেইন' (দাগ)-এর সাথে গুলিয়ে ফেলবেন না।
