نظر إلى شيء أو شخص بعينين مفتوحتين لوقت طويل، غالبًا للدلالة على الدهشة أو الاهتمام أو الوقاحة.

غالبًا ما تعني 'stared' النظر بقوة أو حتى بوقاحة، وتأتي مع 'at' ('stared at me'). تختلف عن 'glanced' (نظرة سريعة) و'gazed' (نظرة إعجاب/حب).
