"Spread" का मतलब है किसी बड़े क्षेत्र में फैलना या फैलाना, किसी सतह पर कुछ बिछा देना, या किसी एक व्यक्ति या जगह से कई लोगों या जगहों तक पहुँचना। यह चीज़ों के फैलने, जानकारी या बीमारी के फैलने, और ब्रेड पर मक्खन जैसी चीज़ लगाने के लिए भी इस्तेमाल होता है।
