লম্বা, সরু ধরনের ছিদ্র বা কাটা অংশ, যা ইচ্ছাকৃতভাবে করা হতে পারে; আবার, এমন ধরনের একটি ছিদ্র তৈরি করাকে বোঝাতেও ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'slit' সাধারণত 'চোখে চেরা' ('slit eyes'), 'পোশাকে চেরা' ('a slit in the skirt'), বা ছোট ফাঁক বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। এটি সাধারণ 'কাটা' (cut) থেকে বেশি আনুষ্ঠানিক বা ড্রামাটিক কিছু বোঝাতে পারে।
