熱い油やフライパンで食材が焼けるときのジュージューという音。また、何かがとてもエネルギッシュでわくわくする様子も表す。

料理中や加熱時に使われることが多いが、比喩的に「生き生きしている」「盛り上がっている」雰囲気を表すのにも使う。弱い音には使わず、強いエネルギーや活気を感じる場面で使う。
