Ani ve güçlü bir şaşkınlık, üzüntü ya da inanamama hali; aynı zamanda elektrik çarpması veya ciddi tıbbi durum anlamına da gelir.
Usage Notes (Turkish)
Hem günlük hayatta hem de tıbbi terminolojide yaygın. 'şok olmak', 'elektrik şoku', 'kültür şoku' gibi kalıplarda sıkça geçer. Tıp alanında 'şok' çok ciddi bir durumu belirtir.
