物の表面から力を入れて何かを取り除くこと、または皮膚が擦れて少しむけるけが。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「scrape」は食器をきれいにしたり、古い塗料を削ったり、軽いけがにも使います。「scrape by」はなんとかやっていく、の意味。多くの場合道具や硬いもので行う動作です。「scratch」より弱いニュアンス。
