Definition

কোনো বস্তুর উপর থেকে জোরে ঘষে কিছু সরানো বা ছোট খোসা ওঠার মতো আঘাত পাওয়া।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

‘চেঁচা’ সাধারণত কোনো জিনিস পরিষ্কার বা সরানোর জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়, যেমন 'scrape the plate'। ছোট আঘাত বোঝাতে 'ঘষা' বা 'আঘাত' ব্যবহার হয়। 'scrape by' মানে কষ্টে টিকে থাকা। 'scratch' থেকে কম তীব্র, সাধারণত যন্ত্র বা শক্ত কিছু দিয়ে হয়।
