권투나 레슬링 경기장의 링 바로 옆에 있는 자리. 중요한 사건이나 현장 가까이에 있다는 뜻으로도 쓰임.

주로 권투, 레슬링 같은 스포츠 경기에서 사용됨. 'ringside seat'는 가장 가까운 좋은 자리란 뜻으로, 중요한 현장을 가까이서 본다는 의미로도 비유 사용됨.
