Definition

飛行機や船、嵐や車などの物体を電波で検出して追跡するためのシステム。重要になるかもしれない事柄に気づくという比喩的な使い方もある。

技術的な話では数えずに使います。日常では「on my radar」「under the radar」などの決まり文句で見かけます。「レーダー」は機器だけでなく、全体の検出システムを指します。
