proof वह जानकारी, सबूत या साफ़ संकेत है जो दिखाता है कि कोई बात सच है। इसका मतलब छपाई से पहले जाँचा गया किसी पाठ का अंतिम संस्करण भी हो सकता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

रोज़मर्रा की अंग्रेज़ी में proof आमतौर पर uncountable noun की तरह आता है: 'Do you have proof?' न कि सामान्यतः 'a proof' जब मतलब evidence हो। लेकिन math और logic में 'a proof' countable होता है। आम संयोजन हैं: 'proof of identity', 'proof that...', 'no proof', 'solid proof'। publishing में proof छपाई से पहले जाँचा गया संस्करण भी होता है।
