Definition

寒さやショックなどで体や心の感覚がなくなる状態。体の一部や感情について使われる。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

身体の感覚がない場合（“my fingers are numb”）や、感情が鈍くなった場合（“I felt numb after the news”）に使う。"cold"や"shock"とよく一緒に使われる。
