Definition

'Nor' أداة ربط تُستخدم لإضافة فكرة سلبية أخرى، خاصة بعد 'neither' أو بعد جملة منفية. ويمكن أن تُستعمل أيضًا في تركيب رسمي مع القلب، مثل 'Nor do I agree.'

Usage Notes (Arabic)

يشيع استعماله في تركيب 'neither...nor...' لربط خيارين منفيين مثل: 'neither tea nor coffee'. وبعد جملة منفية، يكون 'nor' أكثر رسمية من 'and not' مثل: 'He didn't call, nor did he text.' لا يُستعمل كبديل عام لكلمة 'or'.
