매우 공식적이고 강한 표현으로 '싫어하다', '미워하다'보다 정도가 훨씬 강함. 보통 극도의 혐오나 거부감에 사용. 일반적인 불쾌감엔 쓰지 않음. 'loathe doing (무엇)' 꼴로도 자주 씀.
