「linked」は、物事が何らかの形で物理的、論理的、または原因と結果によってつながっている、または関係している状態を表します。

カジュアルでもフォーマルでも使えます。'closely linked', 'directly linked', 'linked to/with' などの表現でよく使用。物理的なつながりだけでなく、考えや出来事の関係にも使われます。'connected'は物理的な接続に使うことが多いです。
