Lane सड़क का वह संकरा हिस्सा होता है जो एक कतार में चलने वाले वाहनों के लिए चिन्हित होता है, या इमारतों, खेतों या दीवारों के बीच की संकरी सड़क या पगडंडी। यह किसी खास गतिविधि के लिए चिन्हित जगह भी हो सकती है, जैसे swimming lane या bowling lane।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

'lane' सबसे ज़्यादा traffic lane के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है: 'left lane', 'bus lane', 'bike lane'। यह 'road' या 'street' से ज़्यादा specific होता है। यह कुछ fixed phrases में भी आता है, जैसे 'swimming lane', 'bowling lane' और 'memory lane' (यादों से जुड़ी अभिव्यक्ति, शाब्दिक अर्थ नहीं)।
