馬に走り始めたり速く進ませたりするための、昔ながらの掛け声です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

現代ではほとんど使わず、西部劇やジョークで耳にします。馬以外には使いません。

Examples

The children played pretend and yelled, "Giddap!"

子どもたちはごっこ遊びをしながら「**やぁっ**！」と叫んだ。

He joked around saying "giddap" even though there was no horse.
