‘gather’는 ‘collect’ 보다 함께 모이는 느낌이 강합니다. '정보를 모으다', '사람을 모으다', 'gather around'은 '둘러 모이다'처럼 씁니다. ‘I gather that...’은 ‘내가 알기로는…’이라는 뜻입니다.
