أن تحصل أو تستلم أو تزيد شيئًا ما، مثل المعرفة أو الوزن أو ميزة.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

غالبًا ما تُستخدم للأشياء المعنوية ('gained experience', 'gained confidence') أو المادية ('gained weight'). عادة لا تُستخدم مع المال (يفضل 'earned'). 'Gained' أكثر رسمية من 'got'. تعبيرات متكررة: 'gained access', 'gained control', 'gained popularity'.
