桃や布、ホコリの上によく見られる、柔らかくて細かい毛や繊維のこと。スラングでは警察を指すこともあります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「うぶ毛」「綿毛」は主にやわらかく細かいものに使います。「警察」の意味は古いスラングなので、最近は映画や冗談でしか使われません。「太い毛」や「かたい毛」には使いません。
