Definition

皮膚の下や骨のまわりについている、体のやわらかい部分のこと。また、文学的に食べ物としての肉を指すこともある。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「flesh」は「肉」よりも文学的・医学的な響きがある。「flesh and blood」「the pleasures of the flesh」などの表現で使われることが多い。日常の食べ物の話では通常「肉」を使う。
