어떤 것이 실제로 있거나 세상에 존재하는 상태. 넓게는 한 사람의 삶이나 생활 방식도 의미할 수 있다.

Usage Notes (Korean)

'존재'는 주로 공식적, 학문적, 철학적 맥락에서 사용된다. 'the existence of life', 'prove the existence of', 'a miserable existence'와 같은 표현에서 자주 등장한다. 'exist'(동사)나 'presence'(존재함)와 혼동하지 않기.
