비공식적이고 일상 대화에서 자주 쓰임. 불발탄, 실패한 계획 등에 자주 사용됨. 사람에겐 장난스럽거나 가볍게 비난하는 뉘앙스. 'bud'나 'dude'와 혼동하지 않는다.
