Definition

'Deceased' বলতে কোনো ব্যক্তি মারা গেছেন বা মৃত বুঝায়, সাধারণত আনুষ্ঠানিক বা আইনি প্রসঙ্গে ব্যবহৃত শব্দ।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

এটি 'dead' অপেক্ষা বেশি আনুষ্ঠানিক; “deceased man” বা আইনি ফ্রেইজে 'the deceased' বলতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। সাধারণ কথোপকথনে 'মারা গেছে' বা 'প্রয়াত' বলা বেশি প্রচলিত।
