何かや誰かに強くしがみつくこと、または表面にぴったりくっつくことを指します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

過去形は“clung”、進行形は“clinging”。感情的に依存しやすい人は“clingy”と呼ばれ、否定的な意味になることが多い。“Cling to hope/power/beliefs”は「希望や信念にすがる」こと。“Cling wrap”は食品用ラップ。濡れた服が体に貼り付く場面にも使う。
