التمسك بشيء أو شخص بقوة، جسديًا أو عاطفيًا. يعني أيضًا الالتصاق بسطح ما.

ماضي شاذ: "clung". عاطفيًا، "clingy" تصف شخصًا متعلقًا بشكل مفرط — دلالة سلبية. "Cling to hope/power" = رفض التخلي. "Cling wrap" = غلاف بلاستيكي.
