ふちはカップや帽子の上の端を指します。また、何かでいっぱいになる、あふれそうな様子も表します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

'the brim of the cup'はカップのふちを指し、'brimming with energy'はエネルギーで満ちていることを表します。'filled to the brim'は「いっぱいに」入っている意味になります。「rim（縁）」とは別の単語です。
