Definition

국가, 주 또는 지역을 구분하는 선이나 구역. 사물이나 구역의 끝부분이나 가장자리를 의미하기도 함.

주로 국가 간 경계(국경)에 쓰이며, 때로는 사물의 가장자리 의미도 있음. “cross the borders”, “open borders”, “border security”는 주로 국경 관련. 'boundaries'는 추상적, 개인적 의미에 가까움.
