Definition

يعني فقدان الدم من الجسم بسبب جرح أو إصابة أو مرض. ويمكن أن يُستخدم أيضًا عندما ينتشر لون أو سائل في شيء آخر، أو عندما يخسر شخص مالًا كثيرًا.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

يُستخدم غالبًا للدم: 'My finger is bleeding.' ومن التعبيرات الطبية الشائعة 'bleed to death'. ويُستعمل أيضًا مجازيًا مثل 'The company is bleeding money'، وكذلك مع الحبر أو الأقمشة مثل 'The red ink bled through the paper.' وهو غالبًا فعل لازم؛ ويُقال 'cause to bleed' أكثر من 'make bleed'.
